How to Install the Dash Cam Gateway Hub
Connect it to the vehicle's diagnostic port, secure it under the dash where it stays ventilated, and confirm the green power LED comes on.
OBD-II installation
Locate the OBD-II port, typically beneath the dashboard on the driver's side near the steering column. Plug the OBD-II power cable into the port, then connect the other end to the PWR/OBD port on the Gateway Hub. Mount the hub underneath the dashboard or behind the diagnostic port, making sure it is fastened and does not obstruct vehicle operation.
J1939 installation
Locate the J1939 port — a round 9-pin Deutsch connector, usually beneath the dash or near the driver's seat. Plug the J1939 cable into the diagnostic port, then connect the other end to the PWR/OBD port on the Gateway Hub. Fasten the hub in a hidden location under the dash, avoiding areas that heat up or shift during driving, and make sure it does not obstruct vehicle operation.
Route the cables
Route cables away from the pedals, controls, and the driver. Secure them with the included zip ties or cable clips.
Keep it ventilated
Place the device under the dash in a well-ventilated area. Do not block or cover the air vents — proper airflow is required for safe, reliable operation.
Confirm power
