How do I get the IFTA Calculator?

It's available as an add-on to any Route One Fleet Portal subscription (Basic or Bundle). Add it to your existing account to turn it on.

Is the generated report an official IFTA return?

No. It's for reference only, not an official filing form.

Can carriers correct ELD mileage?

Yes. Corrections and manual additions require a reason and are logged; the original ELD value is preserved.

Which vehicles are included?

All fleet vehicles. The calculator doesn't check IFTA qualification — carriers ensure only qualified vehicles are used.

Does it work without an ELD?

No. It needs mileage from a compatible ELD on the Route One platform.

Does it support all fuel types?

No. The current version supports diesel only. Non-diesel vehicles need to be handled separately outside the IFTA Calculator.

Can fuel be imported automatically from fuel cards?

Not yet. Carriers enter fuel manually or import it with the CSV template.

How often are tax rates updated?

Once per quarter (on the last day of quarter) from the official IFTA, Inc. matrix. Carriers should verify rates before filing in case of later corrections.

How long is data retained?

For 4 years while the subscription is active. Carriers should export anything they want to keep before cancelling.
